He was married to Sophronia before 1840. HELEN SNELGROVE, DESCENDANT SAYS THE 1840 CENSUS OF DODGEVILLE, IOWA CO., WIS SHOWED HIM & WIFE WITH 1 FEMALE CHILD; THE 1850 CENSUS GIVES US THE BOYS WITH NO FEMALES. Phillip Thorn and Sophronia had the following children:
