He was married to Hannah Gerow (daughter of Elias Gerow and Elizabeth Coutant) on 2 Dec 1813. Hannah Gerow was born on 21 May 1795 in Plattekill, Ulster County, NY. She died on 18 Mar 1870 in Newburgh, Orange Co, NY. Daniel Purdy Birdsall and Hannah Gerow had the following children:
