286. Mary Ann Thorne was born on 14 Feb 1823 in Orange Co, NY. She died on 26 Mar 1911 in Kitchawan, Westchester County, NY. Died at Home. She was buried on 29 Mar 1911 in Chappaqua, Westchester Co, NY. Buried Fair Ridge Cemetery, Chappaqua,NY Philip V. Thorne Notes: She was an Orthodox Quaker. I have copy of her Obituary. Plus her GGrandaughter Mary Lee-Gellhaus just sent me a very nice photo of her. She was a very attractive woman, with long dark hair & dark eyes.

She was married to Leonard Chadeayne (son of David Chadeayne and Hannah Underhill) on 1 Jan 1847 in New York. Leonard Chadeayne was born on 2 Jun 1809 in New York. He died on 11 Feb 1893 in Kitchawan, Westchester County, NY. This gentleman was for many years one of the prominent and influential citizens of Westchester County, NY. He was born on the old Chadeayne homestead in this county on June 12, 1809, passed his life in this vicinity and lived to a venerable age, his death occurring Feb 11, 1893. Leonard Chadeayne was reared on his father's farm and was engaged in agricultural pursuits all his life. He married in July, 1847, Miss Mary Ann Thorne, a native of Orange Co., NY. She was reared and educated in Ulster Co. this state. She was a daughter of Thomas P Thorne & Eliza Gerow Thorne of Plattekill, NY. Mary Ann Thorne and Leonard Chadeayne had the following children:

452 i. Elizabeth Thorne Chadeayne was born on 9 Nov 1848 in Westchester County, NY. She died on 12 Jan 1924 in Kitchawan, Westchester County, NY. She was buried in Chappaqua, Westchester Co, NY.
453 ii. Hannah Chadeayne was born on 19 Nov 1850 in Westchester County, NY. She died on 19 Sep 1863. She was buried in Plattekill, Ulster County, NY. Hannah Chadeayne is buried with her Grand Parents Thomas P Thorne & Elizabeth Gerow in Plattekill, NY at the Friend's Cemetary
